 | Job Description
| | | Successful sheet-metal products company is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer. Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate and provide examples of past improvement initiatives. This is a 60-day contract position with potential for permanent hire.
Primary Responsibilities:
Promote and provide leadership for continuous improvement activities.
Lead development of world class processes using lean principles.
Coordinate all major projects involving new tooling and equipment.
Determine optimum manufacturing processes and material usage.
Provide plant and process flow evaluations for improved productivity.
Maintain bill of material information, applying accurate time standards.
Ensure smooth transition of new products introduced to manufacturing.
Successful candidate will report directly to the VP of Manufacturing.

Skills/Requirements
| | | Experience and Requirements:
BS in an engineering discipline is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Working knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques.
Detail oriented and strong observation skills.
PC skills Word, Excel, etc.
AutoCAD experience a plus.
CNC programming a plus.
